This past week was a big week for myself. After talking to other students and Leticia (my professor) it was decided that I should change my medium. After a second trial of melting ice cubes being unsucsesfull (resulting in breaking my bowl) it was tie to try something else.
I decided that I wanted to stick to my main concept of pollution and trash in rivers. To keep to this concept, i went down to the Ohio river (Hanover Beach road) and collected a variety of trash. I took this trash and nailed to to the wall. Before this I laid all the trash on the ground and composed it into a composite. Once I felt my composite was successful I nailed it to the wall. When I nailed it to the wall I wanted everything to be very clean and crisp looking, so I installed the trash as cleanly as I could.
The class was very pleased with my project that i presented. It was only 16 pieces of trash, with 84 more I feel this could be very successful. With the final work I will do the same as I did with the practice. Once I have it all placed I might change it.
